Kakizome is the Japanese traditional first writing of the year.
We are having kakizome exhibition on January 13th and all students’s work will be exhibited!
All students are practicing very hard!

When you finish using brush, we recommend you to wash the brush as soon as possible, within the day you used brush.
Please prepare a bottle and wash in the bottle like a picture.
And hang it with pin and dry like a picture.
In this way, you can keep brush clean and use it for long time!

We are having beautiful autumn color season.
Last Sunday, we had a hiking and calligraphy event at Mt. Daimonji.
At the top of the mountain, we read haiku and enjoy the view.

Kyoto imperial palace is just 5 minute walk from our studio.
Trees are beginning to turn red beautifully. And there is a rare guest in the palace!
